The Career Center helped me so much with updating my résumé and preparing me for interviews! They gave me a ton of personalized tips and tricks to help refine my résumé into one that started to get me noticed by companies. I also participated in tons of mock interviews with them that helped prepare me for the type of questions to expect. It helped to get more comfortable with the overall feel of interviews, which gave me a lot of confidence when I was in front of potential employers.
I would advise students to get to know the people at the Career Center as early as possible, as the better they know you the better they can help you find great opportunities and the better they can help sell you to companies you're interested in. Don't be afraid to schedule mock interviews or résumé reviews even if it's a little embarrassing or awkward at first, as everyone at the Career Center wants nothing but the best for you and it's much better to make mistakes with them than with a company you really want a job/internship with.
