Jillian Reynolds
Medical Humanities Class of 2022 Sales And Marketing Specialist Chariot Innovations
Jillian Reynolds shared her experience of working with the Career Center. She found the resources and personal guidance to be the most helpful, especially Jobscan. This is a premium resource that the Career Center offers to all students at no charge(most people pay full price monthly for the service, but Baylor pays for all of its students to have free premium accounts). Here is Jillian's advice for her fellow students:
It’s never too early to start your job/internship search. Not everyone can get jobs solely based off of familial connections. I recommend having restaurant experience. Enroll in the Professional Development class (PRD 2101) to help you stay accountable and DON’T freak out. It’s also important to remember that the Career Center can help guide you but can’t do the work for you. You will get out of the experience what you put in. Why pay tuition if you’re not going to take advantage of all of the amazing resources Baylor has to offer? It’s important to have the “college experience,” but also important to remember why you are going to college - to find/have a future career and be successful. I’ve been lucky enough to to have lived the “college experience” and now have a job lined up that pays VERY well before I’ve even graduated. It's up to you to take control of your success. Don’t be a fish, be a shark!"
When Jillian applied to Chariot Innovations for an internship, they came back with an offer of a part-time job while she is in school and a full-time job in the summers and post-grad. Congratulations, Jillian! We are so proud of your success!
