Jeffrey Sonola
Engineering and Computer Science Class of 2021 Software Engineer Dell Technologies
Jeffrey Sonola is a senior Electrical and Computer Engineering major. He has accepted a position as a Software Engineer for Dell Technologies to begin after he graduates in May 2021. Here is what Jeffrey has to say about working with the Career Center:
"I initially took the PRD 2101 class with Tom Brooks and Emily Dalak. It was a class where I was challenged to think about my career and do a few simple check list items each week within my assignments. Pretty soon the next thing I know, I am getting multiple interviews for internships. After completing those internships I stayed in touch with the Career Center for advice on navigating the employer's hiring process. My senior year is here and I have received multiple offers from Fortune 100 companies and now I will be going back to them to learn how to negotiate my offers.
I would advise ECS students to take the PRD 2101 class earlier rather than later as I was able to have internships over multiple summers before my senior year. It is also great to have the Career Center advise you because they have such great relationships with these employers and recruiters".
We sure have enjoyed working with Jeffrey throughout his time here at Baylor. He has been a perfect example of utilizing the Professional Development class and the Career Center the right way. When students engage with us as a department, it becomes less intimidating for them to engage with the employers and their campus recruiters. The best part of our job is to have students enjoy their senior year with an accepted offer that happened from Career Center interactions from their Sophomore and Junior years. - Tom Brooks and Emily Dalak
We want to celebrate your career success too! The best way to find that great internship or job is to make an appointment with Tom or Emily.
