Marissa Watson

Marissa guides the Hankamer School of Business undergraduate students as they navigate the transition from their time at Baylor University to the start of their professional journeys. Her mantra is, “Searching for a job is a job within itself.”  With a background in recruiting, Marissa is equipped with résumé and cover letter editing skills, application processes, interviewing techniques, and insight on how to expand students’ professional networks.

Marissa graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and Texas State University with a Master of Arts in Legal Studies. While obtaining her degrees, Marissa worked for Tarleton State University’s Financial Aid Office and Texas State University’s IT Assistance Center. Upon graduating from Texas State, Marissa started her post-graduate career as a Staffing Manager for Burnett Specialists - the top direct-hire recruiting firm in the Houston-Area according to the Houston Business Journal. For the past several years, she expanded her drafting and editing experience by serving as a family law paralegal. Marissa is excited to have returned to her higher education and recruiting roots while helping students accomplish their career goals!
